Neil specialises in advising clients on privacy and data protection matters, technology and outsourcing transactions, general commercial transactions, regulatory issues, compliance matters and dispute resolution.
Recent transactions at the firm include advising a premium car manufacturer on implications of Indian privacy laws on new in-car infotainment features being introduced in their cars, advising the Indian subsidiary of a global beverages major on privacy issues, representing a digital financial services client that was receiving a strategic investment and drafting and negotiating licensing arrangements on behalf of the client, advising the BPO arm of a global bank on compliance with telecom regulatory policy and representing a cooperative bank in licensing of core banking software and allied implementation agreements.
Prior to founding the firm, Neil was the Head of Legal at Infosys BPO Limited and also handled the mergers & acquisitions/investments portfolio for the entire Infosys group. At Infosys BPO, Neil was responsible for the global legal function of the company and its international subsidiaries. In his mergers & acquisitions responsibility Neil has handled cross border transactions ranging from a couple of million dollars in size to hundreds of million dollars in size.
