Rosa Thomas is a Senior Associate at Mani Chengappa & Mathur. She has been working at MCM since March 2016.

She practices in the areas of labour and employment, privacy and data protection, technology and general commercial matters. She also has experience in the areas of early stage investment, fund formation and technology licensing and procurement.

She has advised a number of clients on privacy and data protection matters pertaining to the Indian legal and regulatory framework and as well as compliance with the EU-GDPR. Her work in this area includes advising a major banking company in India regarding compliance requirements vis-a vis’ the Unique Identification Authority of India, having regard to collection and use of personally identifiable and sensitive personal data of large groups of individuals.

She has worked with and advised a number of clients, ranging from start-ups to MNC’s on their internal employment policies and HR practices, employment agreements (including for senior management), non-compete, confidentiality and intellectual property assignment agreements. She also conducts training sessions to sensitise and instruct the management of companies on issues relating to prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace.
