Varshinee has been working as an Associate at Mani Chengappa & Mathur since June 2024. Her specialization includes advising investors, early and growth-stage companies through various stages of funding from seed round to series B round, in private equity and venture capital transactions.
Additionally, she has experience in advising entities on matters of regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions transactions and in conducting legal due diligence on target companies. She also routinely advises companies in structuring compensation schemes such as employee stock option plans, reviewing and negotiating employment agreements and other commercial agreements across sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, Varshinee was part of the corporate transactions team at a boutique law firm, where she has represented various early-stage start-ups and mid-sized companies in their fundraises and acquisition transactions. Besides this, she has also routinely advised companies across diverse sectors on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and provided legal counselling on general corporate matters.
Varshinee holds a BA.LL.B from Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad. In August 2024, Varshinee was the only young lawyer from India to be selected as part of the 2024 Abbvie & Baker McKenzie Young Lawyers Mentoring Programme. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing football and cooking heritage recipes. She also has a fervid interest in learning foreign languages.
